Death and Funeral Announcement

Kibet Kiptum

The Patron, Deputy Patron, Board of Directors, PTA, Staff and Students of Sunshine Secondary School in humble acceptance of God’s will, announces the passing on of their Principal Benjamin Kibet Kiptum on Saturday 7th November 2015 at MP Shah Hospital after a short illness. 

Beloved husband of Dolores Jeruto Kiptum of Safaricom. Father of Brigid Jepkorir (Moi High School Kabarak) and Emmanuel Kigen. Son of the late Samuel Kiptum and the late Rhoda Kiptum; Toyoi and the late Kimoi of Katuiyo farm in Uasin Gishu. Brother of Maria, the late Philip, Jane, Kiprotich, Daniel, Gladys, Mark, Paul, Musa, the late Stephen, Sabina and Mary. Cousin of Joel, Philip, Simeon, Nelly, Lydiah, Mariach among others. Nephew of Stephen, Evans, Emmanuel, the late Kobilo, Loice, Jane of Kapenguria and Michael among others. Grandson of the late Samson Makumbi and Tungo Makumbi of Karas, Kapenguria. Son-in-law of the late Lt. Col. Pius Kotut and Mary Kotut of Chebaon farm, Uasin Gishu. Brother in law of the late Kipchumba, the late Bruno, Hezron, Maureen of Moi Girls Eldoret and Cyprian.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at 5.30pm at Sunshine School, Nairobi and at home, Katuiyo farm in Uasin Gishu.
 

A fundraiser will be held on 12th November 2015, 5.00pm at Sunshine School. The funeral service will take place on Friday 13th November 2015 at St. Marks ACK, Westlands at 2.00pm.
 

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home on Monday, 16th November for burial on Tuesday, 17th November 2015 at his home Katuiyo Farm, Plateau Uasin Gishu County.
